About the event
Performed in the atmospheric environs of the West End’s St James’s Church, the debut outing of Orchestra Platform Seven is presented and conducted by formidable pianist Julian Jacobson. In a building designed by architectural maestro Christopher Wren, a 37 piece orchestra composed of graduates from the Royal College of Music will take to the stage. Legendary Israeli violinist Ivry Gitlis adds another string to the orchestra’s impressive bow, as Jacobson leads them through pieces including Bach’s E major Concerto and Chausson’s Poème.
