Helping skiers earn their poles, Skiplex simulates snowy surfaces without the chilly accompaniments of the outside with their state-of-the-art revolving slope. Providing a selection of skis and boards, and inviting sportsmen to sample the nylon turf, the Holborn based centre can adjust its slope to various gradients for all levels of learner. The piste faces a mirror for skiers to focus on their technique and a viewing platform provides the perfect pitch for snowheads to egg on their ski buddies without risking a red nose.

Strapping on the ski boots and boshing on the bindings, skiers will then be briefed on the ins and outs of the moving slope. Groups of up to four snow-negotiators will then receive 30 minutes of off-slope tutorial and approximately 30 minutes on the snowy contraption (Up to £39.99). Techniques from snow plough to tight knee carving will be covered, so newbies can get to grips with the piste, and aspiring pros can maintain their muscles.

Reviews

Although yet to be widely reviewed, Skiplex has received highly favourable reviews regarding the quality facilities and helpful staff.

Spent an hour dry skiing at Skiplex and really enjoyed it. As a passionate snow skier, I was intrigued but was not sure what to expect. An hour later, I had enjoyed a great work out on a giant "ski treadmill" which not only could go as fast as I liked - but also could go nice and steep. I had a great instructor who coached and skiied with me. Great preparation ahead of last weekend's snow skiing.
