Transporting diners to the heart of the Levant, Yamal Alsham is a Lebanese and Syrian dining experience with a real taste of milk and honey. The menu is filled with classic dishes inspired by kitchens ranging from Beirut to Damascus. An unmistakably Arabian decor is conjured at a glance in delicate Islamic artistry, with intricate lampshades and shining silk cushions. Open every night until 11pm, the riverside restaurant hosts traditional music and belly dancing to cater for those who enjoy the laid back hubbub of a hubby bubbly.
Diners can begin their culinary voyage with a glass of wine from the esteemed chateaus of the Bekaa Valley or Mediterranean vineyards. Featuring Levantine classics, the meze tasting will start with crudités, hummus, and a fresh green salad. Steam will lift and dance from hot delicacies like falafel and batata harra, a dish of spicy potatoes, akin to patatas bravas. Carnivorous bites include sfiha, a meat-filled pastry beloved by the Ba'albek region, and the Lebanese national dish of kibbe mekliyeh, a spiced ground lamb filling encased in bulgur wheat. Once the savouries are over, sweet tooth satiation will then be offered in the form of crispy, buttery, nutty baklava.
