Music may be the food of love, but when wooing musicians it just works up appetites for a gnarly riff. Jam it out with today’s Groupon: £12 for three beginners’ keyboard and piano lessons or guitar lessons at Nathan Rose Music.
A melodic academy and musical Aladdin’s cave making sound waves in the centre of Wolverhampton, Nathan Rose Music is led by its eponymous composer and professional artiste. Lessons cover percussion, piano, and all manner of stringed beasts, with finely tuned vocal instruction to harmonise the educational melody. The on-site music shop has walls draped in electric guitars, pianos awaiting skilled fingers, stacks of sheet music and learning aids, and tempting trinkets from the likes of Behringer, Martin & Co, and Yamaha.
Three 60 minute lessons well seek to awaken a musical ear and get rookies on their way to scales, arpeggios, and concert hall solos. In groups of up to five, guests can get to grips with the fundamentals of the keyboard and piano or the guitar, choosing their favoured style, be it jazz jamming or classical fingerpicking. The three hours of tuition aim to get budding prodigies of any age up to scratch and practising at home, and can be tailored to the skill sets nature gave or designed to aid out-of-practice players with rusty fingers.
