Focusing in on individual clients, Portfolio has a multi-set studio to showcase different styles, with a boudoir bed, classic motorbike, and specially commissioned graffiti wall among the varied props and backdrops. Fashion shoots, family portraits, and boudoir sessions feature in their little black book of appointments at the central location, a zoom lens away from York railway station. Pets can be kept in the frame, and kids are accommodated with a child safety studio designed to prevent bumps and bruises.
Greeted with a glass of bubbly, clients can first fill out a personal preference form before being pampered by the hair stylist and make-up artist to create the boudoir look. Guests can then make their selection from the studio's range of backgrounds and the snapping can begin, with the photographer guiding poses designed to flatter body shapes. Having posed in a choice of burlesque pin-up, lingerie shoot, or artistic nude styles, patrons can then select a digitally enhanced image to take home on disc in the private viewing.
