Pamper Yourself at Glasgow's Benefit Cosmetics Boutique
Situated in House of Fraser, Glasgow's luxury department store, is a little piece of girly heaven- Scotland's first Benefit Cosmetics Boutique. Now, we are all used to seeing Benefit counters everywhere from Boots to Debenhams; but the boutique concept turns shopping for Benefit Cosmetics into a day-spa experience. Their famous Brow Bar services are still on offer, where you can get the ultimate coveted eyebrow shape- the Benefit Brow Arch. This, with an eyebrow tint, is my staple look.
Here at the boutique however, several other waxing treatments (from legs to bikini) have been added to the roster in their private waxing room. You can relax in the floral print haven, festooned with Benefit artwork and glamour wall quotes, whilst the resident waxing expert looks after you. There's even fluffy Benefit towels and dressing gowns; which you'll be so tempted to pinch. The boutique has a spray tan room also. Benefit have teamed up with all natural fake tan brand Vita Liberata to offer a very affordable spray tan service for just £20. The tan looks very natural, and you can keep your own underwear on during the spray, which is a bonus- no more of those hideous paper pants.
The jewel in the boutique's crown is the stunning VIP area; where you can book yourself and your friends in for an hour-long make-up lesson. You'll enjoy a mini bottle of Moet champagne from their champagne bar whilst learning some tips and tricks. At the end, you'll even take home a gift, all for £12, it's the perfect day out! They have every conceivable Benefit product and shade, so expect to want to pitch a tent and move in. If you love make-up and keeping groomed, this really is a one-stop-shop for all your beauty needs.
The boutique is staffed by some of Benefit's most experienced make-up artists and beauty therapists- one being with the company since it launched in Glasgow over a decade and a half ago. Even if you don't want any of their services, at least stop by for a gossip and a peek at their latest releases.
Benefit Cosmetics have had a home in my make-up bag for as long as I can remember. Highbeam, their liquid highlighter for cheek and browbones, and Bo-ing, their industrial strength concealer are products I could never be without; so get down there and have a play.
