From Our Editors

Located in the ground of Riverside Cottage with their field of lavender and vines we look forward to welcoming clients to a magical yurt where staff will serve afternoon tea, in a very informal, cozy and relaxed environment in the countryside. Dogs, children and muddle boots welcome. Local walks and wildlife to be viewed, stroll by the river and throughout the gardens welcome. Occasional workshops will be taking place such as flower arranging and Bee observation to name a few. In good weather bring a picnic blanket and sit outside - family outdoor games available.

One scone and a cup of tea doesn't amount to afternoon tea in my book. Would have been very disappointed if it hadn't been a Groupon rate!

The scones were delicious and there is a lovely shop in the yurt as well as table and chairs if you wish to sit inside. There is also a garden with tables and chairs if you wish to sit outside. There is also a lovely walk and lavender fields as well as a river. We had a lovely time. Friendly relaxing environment.

When I booked, they must have forgot to tell me they run a baby class there. We arrived with the place full of baby's, their siblings and mothers and grandparents. The assistant got us a couple of chairs and a fold up garden table. She didn't ask us if we wanted coffee instead of tea or fruit or plain scone. Well tea arrived in a filthy brown stained spout teapot which also leaked. Then came the plain scone The words I would explain this place it's an experience wouldn't ever go again or recommend unless you like baby's a lot or don't go on a Wednesday.

Scones were lovely and staff friendly. Would recommend. Unfortunately rained when we went and would have sat outside. Rural setting but fun.

A fantastic setting and just a short walk to the riverside, very friendly. Homemade jam with a hint of home grown lavender was lovely, as was the scone, although just one quite small scone included with the offer which wasn't made clear in the T&Cs, when we would have expected two. Easy to find, just off the A303.
