Sitting pretty in a Nottinghamshire village, the Grade II listed Woodborough Hall provides guests with a relaxing retreat in rural surrounds in its 17th-century building. Guests can explore the local countryside, or visit the shops, restaurants and bars in nearby Nottingham. Rooms are styled in keeping with the historic building and come with en suite bathroom, flat screen television and free Wi-Fi access. The restaurant’s head chef has previously worked at Buckingham Palace and the House of Lords, and creates a menu of traditional British and European cuisine, as well as Sunday roasts and afternoon tea. The hotel hosts weddings, conferences and private parties, in addition to offering cookery classes taught by the in-house head chef.
