The team at The Wine Stores call for the wine aficionados of London to unite around 12 wine taps that sit alongside a wide range of Champagnes, Proseccos, vodkas, gins and cocktails. Hungry patrons can count on the venue's breakfast, lunch and charcuterie menus. The Wine Stores are located just a stone's throw away from King's Cross station.
Went with a friend for the Groupon prosecco and sharing platter deal. The meat platter was disappointing. Two mini burger patties, 6 strips of teriyaki chicken, houmous with pitta and chips. Not worth the £15 it is listed as on the menu. Prosecco was OK but might have been 'watered-down' with something else that made it taste flat.
Sharing platter would be adequate for 1 person, very frugal. Good atmosphere could do with more staff near kitchen bar.
We went with another couple at 5pm last Saturday. The location and venue was fine, as was the sharing platter, but the 'prosecco'? It was watery and flat. When we queried this with the waitress, she explained that their 'fizz' machine wasn't working!
Fizz machine? Why would they need that? We they making their own with still wine on a soda stream - if so, hardly prosecco!
Outstanding service as the staffs were so lovely. The foods were gorgeous n excellent place for drinks too. My friends and I had a brilliant time.
Although the kitchen was unexpectedly closed. I didn't ask why. Gerard, the manager, came up with a very good solution so my guest and I were very happy.
Highly recommend on customer service.
Food good but the on tap prosecco is not great.
The atmosphere was great and the platter was tasty.
Very good value for money, it was a very busy Friday, lively with music playing, but our table was reserved for us as promised, the sharing platters were very nice, We wasn’t rushed at the end of our 90 minutes, our drinks were topped up each timed we asked, my only slight criticism would be the prosecco, as it was on tap it was a little flat, but overall a great night was had.
