The Wheatsheaf maybe on a main road but there is lots of parking. There is a quaint small bar on the right and a lovely lounge and restaurant on the left. Beautifully finished and old fashioned, but all looked newly refurbished. The food was lovely, the sirloin was cookef to perfection. The choice of dessert was amazing and I would go back again.

Sunday lunch choice of beef, pork or turkey, roast pots, carrots, cabbage, peas and green beans. Huge pot of gravy and accompanying sauces. Served hot! For dessert I had choc fudge cake and my partner had apple pie. There were about 6 or 7 choices. Both courses were lovely, fresh and cooked perfectly. Would definitely go again

Nice place and food ok but service poor and my wine glass had fingerprints all over it. Had to keep reminding them of our food and drink order. The waitress was nice but every time there was a problem the landlord blamed her.

Food was reasonable and priced correctly the lady serving us was excellent but the groupon experience was disappointing. The voucher said the deal was worth £42 and when priced on the menu this was a lie also the voucher could only be booked via a telephone booking but it was very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone.
