The Strand Arts Centre is housed within an iconic 1930s art deco cinema in East Belfast. The venue is run as a not-for-profit social enterprise and shows films on four screens. The programme features the latest Hollywood releases alongside cult, art house and independent films. The cinema also holds Belfast Film Festival screenings as well as special sing-a-long events, theatre and variety performances throughout the year. The classically styled cinema screens sport deep red furnishings, upholstered seats and plenty of distinctive art deco features. Film fans can visit the venue’s website to watch the latest trailers or enter an online competition for the chance to win movie-themed prizes.
