From Our Editors

Over 100 years after the tragic maiden voyage of the world’s most famous liner, the story of RMS Titanic can be relived at her birthplace in Belfast’s historic shipyard. Guests can experience Titanic Belfast’s nine interpretive and interactive galleries that explore the sights, sounds, smells and stories of RMS Titanic, as well as the City and people which made her, before following in the footsteps of Charlie Chaplin and Elizabeth Taylor by stepping on board the world’s last remaining White Star vessel and Titanic’s tender ship SS Nomadic, which also served in WW1 and WW2. All in all a great day out but younger children may find there's nothing to do in the Titanic part of the exhibition. In the Race to the Ends of the Earth and SS Nomadic exhibitions they are given activity sheets and have to find hidden stickers and dolls. The staff were very friendly and helpful and as we went midweek it wasn't very busy so the staff spent ages with our children helping them with the activity sheet while we walked around the exhibition. Make sure to bring drinks with you as its quite warm inside and vending machines and restaurants charge a fortune for a bottle of water!
