The grand façade of the Tillmouth Park Country House Hotel is set within 15 acres of land, made up of a mix of landscaped gardens and natural woodland. Nestled within the Scottish borders, the hotel provides guests with a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life, with easy access to multiple quaint, country towns. The river Tweed flows past Cornhill-on-Tweed, ideal for quiet strolls, while the village also harbours an influx of charm-filled sights, including an 18th century bridge, rustic buildings and open fields. Around 16 minutes away in the car is the scenic Berwick-upon-Tweed, featuring Elizabethan walls, the iconic Royal Border Bridge and the Spittal Promenade. A similar distance away is the verdant Northumberland National Park, home to a slice of Hadrian’s Wall. Contemporary en suite bathrooms are linked to each room, which are decorated in keeping with the hotel’s historic building. Period furniture is dotted around each room, alongside mod-cons including a hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries. The baronial main hall boasts comfy sofas and open log fires, creating a cosy space in which guests can tuck into afternoon tea or light refreshments. The AA rosette-awarded restaurant serves traditional breakfast each morning, as well as a candlelit dinner each evening in the Library Dining Room.
