Shawn and Joanna Plumb, passionate chilli growers and lovers of great food, set up Edible Ornamentals in 2001. Its nursery consists of eight polytunnels and three greenhouses where more than 100 varieties of chillies are grown, along with a range of herbs and vegetables. There is also a shop where customers can purchase chilli plants, hydroponic growing equipment, fresh, dried and pickled chillies, as well as a gourmet selection of fiery sauces and salsas. Edible Ornamentals features a log cabin for hosting events and a café restaurant, Edible Kitchen, that tickles diners' tongues with an array of culinary delights, including a range of chilli dishes and authentic Italian pasta. Their Chilli Academy also offers scheduled cookery classes and chilli experiences.
