First opened in Soho in 1926, Patisserie Valerie follows artisanal baking traditions brought to London by Belgian-born Madam Valerie, whose mission was to introduce continental patisserie to the English. Now boasting over 120 venues nationwide, the company adorns its cafes with a 1950s-inspired decor and serves up an array of freshly made cakes, craft pastries, breakfasts, lunches, coffees and loose-leaf teas. Their specialities include meticulously crafted croissants and viennoiseries, as well as homemade Italian-style gelato.
No booking made this groupon exceptionally easy to use.
The afternoon tea was varied and refillable coffee (no distress over swapping from tea) made for an enjoyable experience.
Staff at Sutton Coldfield Pattiserie Valerie were attentive without being overbearing and we were not rushed through our meal at all.

We were served by a lovely lady called Kyla ( I think that was her name she was a slightly mature lady who was wearing a 21st birthday badge - possible not her first 21st!!). They had run out of the festive afternoon tea we had a voucher for but she was extremely helpful and advised the alternatives. The refillable tea was absolutely wonderful and the cakes - were stunning. And the one for my firefighter husband based at the neighbouring station went down a storm. Thank you Kyla - we will be back
