From Our Editors

First opened in Soho in 1926, Patisserie Valerie follows artisan baking traditions brought to London by Belgian born Madam Valerie whose mission was to introduce continental patisserie to the English. Now boasting over 120 multiple venues nationwide, the unique cafe-atmosphere features a 1950s' decor and serves up an array of freshly made quality cakes, craft patisseries, breakfasts, lunches, coffees and loose leaf teas. Their specialties are artisan-baked croissants and viennoiseries, as well as home made Italian-style gelato ice-cream.

Really lovely festive afternoon tea at patisserie valerie in Stratford. Staff were lovely and food was excellent. Only downside was I was originally informed there was no need to book, however when we arrived, I was told that because we hadn't booked there wasn't enough of the pre-ordered afternoon teas. Manager was lovely and very accommodating. She quickly made another one up which wasn't quite as pretty but still tasted amazing!

Used voucher in Redditch. Staff were very helpful and fitted us in although it was nearly closing time. Nice sandwiches and cakes. More than enough to share between 4!

we had to go 3 times to get the afternoon tea, they had ran out the previous 2 times. when we actually got it it was a real disappointment. sandwiches were limp and old, cakes didnt taste of much. the only plus point was the scones. we will not be going back

Very enjoyable afternoon tea, sandwiches and cakes were excellent, bottomless tea only criticism would be that the clotted cream portion could have been more generous.
