From Our Editors

Denmans Garden offers an array of plants, using different coloured foliage and flowers, as well as varying forms, textures and gravel pathways to try and evoke a casual, 'tamed wilderness' feel across its four-acre area. The site also offers a cafe, meeting rooms and a plant centre, as well as three-day garden design courses with John Brookes MBE, or guided tours through the garden.

I had a voucher for Denmans but I wouldn't pay full price to go in to the gardens as they are very small and it is not good value for money. Whilst i appreciate it is March and the gardens and the plant shop wont be at their best, we were very surprized at the poor state of the plant shop and the plants on sale. We were very impressed with the lovely cafe and the impressive menu but as a coeliac requiring gluten free food, I was very disappointed to find that there was no gf bread to have with the soup or for a sandwich or roll! Only one item on the menu was labelled 'gluten free' and one cake was gf. Such a shame !

A lovely garden and restaurant (not cheap!), we had a memorable time, with plenty of early spring flowers in mid february 2017

Delightful garden, plenty to see given it's size and the time of year. The food is very good. Will be back in the spring!

Beautiful gardens, ideal for the older visitor because there are plenty of seats on the way round. Excellent tea rooms with soft music and very tasty menu. A great way to spend a day at any time of the year.

The gardens looked a little tired at the beginning of October which is probably not the best time to view them but the entry fee is the same throughout the year. There are several quaint corners where one can rest and contemplate but unfortunately with the sound of the traffic on the busy A27 passing nearby it is not entirely peaceful. The gardens are nicely laid out but can be walked round in about 10 minutes. We were encouraged to have a drink and go round again but we had seen enough. The restaurant which canh be accessed without viewing the gardens is supperb.
