Tenacity Worldwide was started by dance fitness teacher Lily Towu. Offering fitness through dance, Tenacity Worldwide's class leaders teach a style of dance called Superfly, developed by Lily Towu. Superfly is a fusion style incorporating elements of Latino, hip hop, pop and lock, salsa and rumba dancing, with an emphasis on aerobic exercise. Superfly is recommended to those who wish to burn calories in a friendly and supportive environment. The social aspect of the class is important, as the teacher places an emphasis on having fun. Most sessions last one hour and are set to lively, upbeat music. A choice of themes is given in every class. Superfly is a form of “dancercise”, which uses elements of dance to increase fitness and provides clients with a cardiovascular workout.
