I have been here before and it was lovely. I've recommended afternoon tea here to many people. This time however it was not the case. We had pre ordered 2 gluten free afternoon teas, a tray came out with so many sandwiches and cakesbut we were told they had run out of g/f scones!! Scones are they main part of afternoon tea! We then didn't see another member of staff. Even when we left over an hour later there was no one in the reception area! The foot was lovely but we were so disappointed. Also, last time we came there was a small box with chocolates waiting at our table for us which is a really nice touch, we didn't have that this time. I definately wouldn't recommend this hotel anymore.

Great value for money on Afternoon Tea, with warm and friendly staff in a fantastic seafront location!

My wife and I went for afternoon tea, the hotel is dated, the afternoon tea itself was pre made as the sandwiches were all squashed together like they had been made some hours ago. Very limited cakes, but the cream tea part was yummy.

I was disappointed with the afternoon tea. Sandwiched plain I would expect smoked salmon and salad with the ham. The scones and cakes I 'm sure where not homemade. If they where they where just okay. No choice of tea's. no table cloth. It was a treat for my friends 60th. I have had much better for a cheaper price.

Choice of sandwiches were quite poor, expected a little better for £25 to be honest. Just brown/white dry, crustless bread, with butter and ham or butter and beef, no salad or cucumber or sauce. Desserts were ok, the best part was the scones and glass of prosecco! Unfortunately won't be returning.

Went for afternoon tea (relatives repeatedly stay at the hotel too); service was swift and friendly, great selection of simple fayre which was ample too. Hotel has a great view to the seafront, and i360 and West Pier, and is very relaxed. Will definitely be back.
