The reason we went to Bleak house was Charles Dickens, unfortunately very little about him, more about smuggling, which was a shame. The tea was very good.

Don't Hoover around your guests, it's not a nice tour if you are made too feel like you are in the way. Also hide the cakes in the freezer, you can't pass them off as homemade if we can see the packets of them in the freezer!!

The smugglers museum and Dickens study, while very interesting, have exhibits which look a little tired and could do with some attention. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the food was very tasty.
