A family-run endeavour, 99 Station Street serves up hearty dishes with culinary flair and unpretentious style, using locally-sourced produce and seasonal ingredients wherever possible. The modern menus and easy-going atmosphere have seen them enter the Good Food Guide 2013, while the odd homemade bite and classic dishes keep dining experiences feeling authentic. A wine list features red and white tipples from all over the world, plus a few bubbles for good measure. Those who don't fancy the full bottle can opt for a handy 250ml carafe to slurp from.

This was our third visit and again the food was excellent. Thought however that desert took a little too long around 45 minutes and young waiters could be more interactive and attentive. I would recommend though for anybody considering

The situation of the restaurant could be off putting as it is rather run down.....HOWEVER the restaurant itself is fine and the food is very good as is the wine list. Service is friendly and efficient
I have been here twice and would go more often if it was not so far to travel(1hr 15mins each way)
