From Our Editors

The story of Jamie's Italian began when Jamie Oliver, supported by his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, opened the first restaurant in Oxford in 2008. Since then, the kitchen's experienced chefs have been committed to bringing a piece of Italy to customers all over the UK, with a menu combining traditional recipes and quality ingredients with innovative ideas and Jamie's signature twist. Guests can savour an array of dishes, including freshly made pasta, as well as steaks, pizzas and salads that can be complemented by a fine selection of wine and cocktails.

First visit ever and loved the atmosphere, food was good value and tasty

This very same deal is pretty much available on their menu anyway so really offers a minimal saving. And add to this the chicken burger I paid the £2 supplement for was tiny. Shamefully so. I went to the Cambridge branch when it first opened and it was a lovely place to be. Now it feels un-cared for and tired.

Food nice but slow service. Was not offered a drink once. Had to ask another waiter to get some water but that was after starters had been served and we were halfway through mains.

poor quality food and unfriendly waiter. the menu is for set menu not the normal menu. There are very limited option to choose. Not worthy the price at all.

Nice restaurant and food, but too expensive and small portions especially on Groupon, special menu which at 14/Head for 2 courses is not inexpensive. I don’t see any of these restaurants left in 1 year from now, they need to get real on price , portions and choice.

Food was quite bland, and not the biggest portions. It was good that they allowed my son a junior pizza as he wouldn’t eat any of the food off the groupon menu! Grouping menu had 4 starters to choose from, 4 mains and 3 puddings. Drinks are very expensive £4.75 for a small beer and £3 for a little bottle of karma cola (they only do fair trade). But I do think you pay for the Jamie Oliver name as other high street Italians probably do do better food at a more reasonable price. No issues using the groupon voucher. Not sure I would put my self out to visit another Jamie’s

I paid a premium £31 for a set two course meal. It was very nice but cost MORE than the normal two course meal if I'd walked in without a Groupon deal! So it was very nice but not the good value it should have been!
