Originated as a small market stall in Dublin, Hook Camden Town serves up an array of traditional bites which are given a modern twist. The team of passionate chefs put emphasis on quality ensuring that all dishes are prepared on-site from fresh and locally-sourced produce. Their speciality is fish and chips seasoned with hand-crafted herbs. All meals may be accompanied by a selection of wines, craft beers and soft drinks. What Hook Camden Town also promotes is sustainability and responsible operating, reflected in a form of corn-starch cutlery and reclaimed wood service boxes used in the eatery.

The customer service was excellent. The manager/waitress was very accommodating and welcoming, savvy and professional. Not so keen on the food though - the small portion of fish was swimming in oil and grease! The chips (with skins on) were hard and chewy (overcooked). And the unusual flavours (Thai etc) didn’t really match the texture of the food. It was all too contrived and overworked. If what you want is traditional fish and chips I suggest you go to a good old chippy imo!

Generous portions of well prepared seafood. A waitress who was really on the ball. We'll be back again soon.

Staff were lovely. Place was small and a bit noisy/v busy with families. Service was quite quick. Not sufficient alcoholic cocktail drinks choices. Food style is a bit different but we found food to be too oily and greasy for our tastes. Maybe more drainage needed! Would be quite good if not for that. Chips were very good though.
