From Our Editors
Established in 2015, Blue at the George serves up a wide range of contemporary meals. These include steaks, burgers, sandwiches, Sunday roasts, and a selection of vegetarian options. Guests can also indulge in a variety of sweet treats, including ice cream and a cheese board, and the children's menu offers a choice of three courses for the young ones. The venue strives to create a warm and friendly atmosphere with a touch of sophistication, and the George itself is nestled in a Grade II listed building in the historic High Street.
Food and service are very good. Drinks are pricey.
Red wine, a burger and open fire place...quality time and a quick look lunch
Nice halloumi burger and great service. Would and will go again
A real find! Definitely go there again.
Very nice food, service was great. Liked where it was and the old style pub.
Friendly staff ..lovely burger meal 🙂
Food was excellent well worth a visit. I will definitely go back.
Refurbished since we last went many years ago and liked the decor and feel of the place. Unfortunately on the Saturday lunchtime that we went there was only one other couple there so it was a little lacking in atmosphere.
We had vouchers for a burger and drink offer and our burgers were both good, meat and veggie. The tomato juices that I ordered were a little stingy and my husband's beers were good.
Having looked at the menu as a whole, we will go back again. The vegetarian menu is limited but we were told that they plan to include more fish on the menu.
