This military show hosts over 600 authentic re-enactors, military vehicles, 1940s entertainment and the opportunity to browse collectors, traders and vendor stalls from all over the UK. Visitors can learn about the past 100 years of military history in more dimensions than a history book could possibly offer. A Temple at War Sniper will be featured along with other characters, who will be re-enacting the suppression of the enemy's advance. Battles will be re-created using pyrotechnic effects, and a range of military vehicles, equipment, weaponry and artefacts will be displayed. The 1940's girl group the Hotsie Totsies will perform with a dance group, and visitors can grab a bite to eat and visit some of the world's oldest timber-framed barns in this village-based setting.
Great day out, very well organised and overall a fun and enjoyable day. Would definitely recommend to others.
fabulous show, with 1st world war and 2nd world war exhibits . Friendly and very knowledgeable exhibitors and even had a try at defusing a bomb... lovely tea room set up and every one exhibiting dressed up in uniform or suchlike... 3 girls singers on stage at timed shows and later dancers took the place back to 1940's , american army, and other countries, massive amount of vehicles and stalls and regiments from thoroughly recommend this great day out and with groupon got a cheaper tickets of course , all exhibitors do this for free and maintain their own finances to display their beloved interests... tales all day to see it all , the marching armies now and again around the walkways made it seem so real ...
A very interesting day out
Took my 4 year old son he loved it, love all the people dressed up in military outfits and seeing tanks, guns and having opportunity to purchase military outfit! Good way of them learning about history!
Very good experience not to large a venue so easy to get around everything. Very enthusiastic enactments. Just a very good day out all round.
A great family day out in a beautiful authentic setting
Great interesting stalls and enactments with brilliant live singing and dancing
Plenty of food and drink available but lots of space for a picnic too
The whole thing was well put together and interesting, we had two boys with us 10yr and 8 and they loved it. At one point the boys were playing with wooden rifles and a World War One Sargent had them marching up and down and put them through their paces. They loved it.
