Those wishing to embark on a new career aboard cruise ships can take advantage of this 18-module course, which is designed to give participants a head start in the industry. The course covers the various areas of understanding necessary for life at sea, including nautical times, health and safety and emergency procedures and drills. Each module concludes with a test to assess progress, and the course should take 25 to 35 hours all told. On successful completion students are awarded a diploma recognised by the Institute of Travel and Tourism.
