From Our Editors

Bella Italia prides itself on sourcing authentic Italian ingredients for their traditional cuisine. They import pasta from the Agnesi family, tomato sauce from the Emilia-Romagana region of northern Italy, gelato from Pizzi, and cured meats from the Fontana family. Opened in 1991, Bella Italia now boasts eateries the length and breadth of England, including the cities of London, Manchester, Leeds and Oxford. Their menu features a wide range of pizzas, pastas, antipasti boards and other classics, with an array of wine available to pair with any dish. The restaurants' interiors are styled in a quirky Mediterranean design, with many featuring Vespas and cosy booths.

We enjoy the venue, the staff are excellent. The only disappointment was that the Duck Marco Polo dish had been taken off the menu since our last visit. However, it was still first class and we will be going back again soon.

we went on a Thursday evening when there was hardly anyone in. The service was so slow we had to wait at least half an hour before anyone even asked us what we would like to drink. the food wasn't too bad, but again we had to wait ages between courses, then to top it all, they hadn't got any 'shot' desserts left, so they gave us one ice cream between the two of us.
