Perched within landscaped grounds and surrounded by the verdant beauty of the Scottish Borders, Tinto House is a cosy yet grand country retreat which is well-placed for exploring all that the area has to offer. Lanark Moor Country Park, accessible by car, is open year-round and is a fun day out for all the family, while Tinto Hill awaits for the outdoorsy-types who can walk to the top to take in views as far as the Lake District and the Mountains of Mourne. City slickers can hop in the car for an hour’s drive to Edinburgh, for all the fun, thrills and culture that it has to offer. Within the hotel, rooms are bright and comfortable, with en suite facilities, complimentary toiletries, TV and Wi-Fi, and the option to have double or twin beds. In the restaurant, the menu is varied and creative, encompassing classic and contemporary dishes to suit all tastes, and much of the produce is sourced locally. Tinto House also hosts a regular bill of entertainment and tribute acts, with DJs, dancing and revelry into the night.
