It's really in the wrong place..that market is dead. Food was very average but it isn't expensive and they had really tried hard to make the place quirky. Friendly staff.

The Lady who runs this establishment is very nice, and keen to please. However, is not, in my opinion, really set up to offer 'Afternoon tea'. Although there was only 4 other people there (having afternoon tea) it was utter chaos with drink, sandwiches, scone and cake all arriving at seperate intervals. I would suggest smaller tables as most people wont want to share a large table. also not offering a choice that isn't actually available ie.lemon cake that is too hot to ice (containing lemon peel which was like chewing string). Also a notepad to write down orders rather than trying to remember and have to keep asking. Afternoon tea should be a surprise assortment of sandwiches and cakes, only checking for dietry requirements, all delivered in one go. Not a pleasant experience.

My daughter and I had a lovely time, the owner was friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure that our afternoon tea was perfect; the scones and cakes were scrumptious; and there were even old games on the table in case we wanted to play...I got beaten at cards by my daughter so maybe I'll leave them alone next time! We would definitely go back again for afternoon tea as the food was fab, the venue was full of trinkets to look at and the hospitality was warm and friendly.
