The Afternoon Tea was not great and we felt a bit conned. It consisted of 2 finger sandwiches and a small sausage roll ( could have done with more ) 2 Scones - 1 fruit and one plain - plenty of jam and cream but the scones were so crumbly it was impossible to spread these on the. The cake was a piece of bread pudding that was so heavy and didn’t look very inviting. Bearing in mind that a cream tea which was consists of 2 scones jam, cream and pot of tea is only £5.50 we didn’t feel the afternoon tea offer from Groupon was good value. It wouldn’t have been so bad if the tea was good quality and plentiful. On the plus side the staff were very nice and the venue itself has a nice atmosphere.

The food was very good as was the service, we had somebody in our group that had slightly different food tolerance nothing was to much trouble. We would definatly go again. We had afternoon tea we got a voucher on groupon for a reduced voucher. It was a bit cold so didn’t walk round the gardens but we have heard in the spring and summer the gardens are beautiful and I think you can camp there as well.10/10

The garden was just weeds and empty looking, with no Autumn/Winter interest. The afternoon tea was OK. The scones were nice, the 1 slice of bread made into 4 finger sandwiches with very plain fillings, and the bread pudding, which you could have killed someone with, were incredibly unimpressive. There was no choice of cake or sandwich fillings, which would have been nice.

We wandered around the gardens before our Cream Tea & although it was raining & the gardens weren't 'blooming' we still loved the tranquility (& the pigs!). Our cream tea was delicious - especially the huge scones with jam & cream - & the service was perfect :-) We will be coming back again! Thank you :)

Good food and even given seconds without asking !! The only downside was the gravel track where I had to be pulled backwards in my wheelchair. Again because of the gravel path I could not get to the disabled toilet. Overall l would recommend a visit as the staff were attentive to our needs and the bread pudding was out of this world.

The only fault I would say is the mail boxes were full for some days so turned up on the off chance that we could have tea. Very pleasant experience and would return again as the walled garden is so quiet and peaceful, beautifully laid out and very English Thank you for the service we received

Going in October is probably not seeing the garden at its best. We booked for a vegetarian afternoon tea which was excellent. The tearoom itself could probably do with a bit of sprucing up. There was a missing panel above one of the tables which did not look very good. Not sure I would use it as a wedding venue.
