Just south west of Manchester, near the town of Sale, is Ashton-on-Mersey Golf Club. This scenic golf course, founded in 1857, borders the River Mersey and offers the opportunity for a delightful afternoon of golf. The club supplies membership packages to suit various needs, from the trial membership offering ten rounds in a ten week period to the full membership enabling play anytime, any day of the week. Ashton-on-Mersey Golf Club also has membership options available for young playing members. Corporations and visitors are welcome but need to book in advance, subject to availability. Special days can be arranged for societies or corporations with three different packages to choose from. The centre of the club is the magnificent club house. It contains a well stocked bar and snacks. Drinks can be enjoyed on the open air balcony which overlooks the course. SKY TV is available in the bar, and there is also a restaurant which provides pre golf and after golf menus. Ashton-on-Mersey Golf Club members can also enjoy the privelege of booking the club for private functions. There are two rooms available and bookings can be made through the Club Secretary. If relaxation still hasn't been achieved after a round and a drink, maybe a visit to the inhouse sauna will loosen the muscles. Ashton-on-Mersey Golf Club can offer a great day out and a relaxing evening to visitors and members alike.
