Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at The Beehvive. Excellent comedians. Enjoyed them all, sometimes you get a duff comedian thrown in but they were all excellent. Will definetely go back and take friends with us.

Very polite welcome - we arrived very early, the guy on the door explained to us how the evening would progress and was very friendly to us. There were a good number of comedians, and I think it was a good idea to have about 6 who just did small sessions, because if you don't like them much, they won't be on for long! As with all comedy gigs, there are a few comedians you find very funny and a few you're not that happy with. I would say we enjoyed the opening comedians work far more than the 'headliner' - the 'headliner' was just making crass jokes which I think were pretty vulgar and sexist. The first guy went for the self-deprecating humour, which I think worked a lot better. Overall, very happy to go to a comedy gig in Edinburgh and enjoy it! Gives a good chance to see a variety of acts without having to choose one solo.

The comedy night was a great night out, just like the Fringe Festival, with varied acts. I hope this is kept going all year as the festival can be a bit hectic so its nice to see stand up at other times of the year.
