Located in Brompton, just a short walk away from Chatham Historic Dockyard, King George V is a seventeenth-century pub run by Leon. Their passion for traditional Kentish dining and beer can be seen in a menu featuring hearty steaks and burgers as well as lamb and seafood dishes prepared using local produce whenever possible.
Very old sailor/ engineers pub, rustic interior, well cooked roast & excellent real ale! My kind of heave
Staff and environment very friendly. A propper traditional pub feel with excellent food and an impressive selection of beverages. Highly recommend a visit.
Restaurant wasn't ready or set up when we arrived for a table we had booked so we got stuck by the door which was cold everytime it was opened. On the up side food was lovely.
I wasn’t sure when we got there, looking at the outside, but don’t let that put you off.
Inside you will find it is cosy & welcoming, and the roast dinner was really lovely. Would definitely do it again.
