Complete beginners can be put on the path to becoming masterful in the art of blasting beats on kick pedals and keeping time and rhythm with a snare drum and toms at Glasgow’s Drummers Only. Four or eight lessons will take students through the basics and teach them all they need to know in order to play basic beats and rhythms. Customers have the option of including drumsticks and a practice pad so they can put into action at home what they’ve learned in the studio.

Drummers Only is a custom-built drum and percussion tuition hub situated within Central Glasgow. Gary Montgomery is at the helm of the studio and they regularly hire touring professionals for masterclass performances. Drummers Only has four dedicated teaching rooms equipped with Mapex drum kits and Zildjian cymbals. All tuition is carried out on a one-to-one basis and is tailored to the pupil’s individual needs. Lessons can include both the Trinity Rockschool or Trinity Guildhall courses. Lessons are available seven days, including weekday evenings and are all bookable online. Drummers Only are sponsored by Rhythm Base (Scotland’s major drum store), Mapex, Zildjian and are fully affiliated with the Mike Dolbear Drum School.
