Decked out with mirrors, reflective lighting and flowers, the ambiance and decor of Tusk is one of the first things that sets it apart from other establishments. The second bar, accessed through a long hall of more mirrors, is decked out like an otherworldly pleasure palace. Oriental lanterns, massive red drapes and Buddha statues all combine for an interesting mixture of hedonism and refined taste. Part of this fantastic atmosphere is due to the fact that Tusk Bar was built inside a former pool hall and cinema. A third bar one floor up is called the Dragon Tower. Tusk is the kind of place where it is equally pleasant to stroll around and take in the atmosphere as it is to drink their expertly mixed cocktails and dine on their sophisticated menu items. One of the favorites on offer at Tusk is the Thai burger, with its unique application of coriander, lemongrass, and Emmental cheese. Another is the pakora, made in-house, filled with fresh vegetables and perfectly crispy. There are also plenty of vegetarian options for the herbivorous. The house wine is affordable and there are many offered by the glass. Another great thing about Tusk Bar is the live DJ sets and the energetic atmosphere in the later hours. Visiting Tusk means enjoying great food and music under the blissful gaze of the giant Buddha statue, and air lightly scented with enticing incense.
