Originally a Victorian church, Newton Hall Guest House has been restored over the last three years to provide a luxurious space for visitors. Perched on the edge of Loch Fyne, Newton Hall sits alongside 18th century houses, and is just a peaceful five-minute stroll from the centre of town. History enthusiasts may opt to take a tour of the regal Inveraray Castle, while the Inveraray Jail and County Court provides an opportunity for guests to delve into the gruesome past and even go ghost hunting. Other nearby places of interest include Oban, Fort William and Glasgow. Individually styled rooms are kitted out with modern amenities including a TV, hairdryer and hot drink making facilities. Each have original features such as Gothic church windows, while many have views across the Loch or into the courtyard. Starting each morning off is a hearty full Scottish breakfast, served in the surrounds of the Loch-side dining room. There are also pubs and restaurants close by for daytime snacks and evening meals. Guests can take it easy by resting up in the on-site sitting area, and can make use of the guest house’s complimentary Wi-Fi.
