A PGA Pro is on hand to offer game-improving lessons, and when rounds or practice comes to an end, a purpose built clubhouse provides a space to relax, enjoy meals or to even play snooker. On arrival to wilton castle there are no directions on where to go. No sign post. Im a lady ina wheelchair, I informed the staff of this few dsys before, was told there is a ramp at te back of the property. We finally found the place, the ramp didnt feel safe, no hand rails, my daughter helped me out the place, going down the ramp she nearly fell. As of the afternoon tea wasnt what I expected, there was 3 of us, they brought out a small 3 tier cake stand, on it was 2 slices of bread made into 4 triangle sandwiches. The sandwiches had been made a long time before our 2 pm slot. Which had dried out, the next tier was 3 cream scones that were really dry, the top tier has 3 cupcakes and 3 peices of choc/toffee/ flap jack style Base which had melted. We got 2 pots of tea. When you pay £16.50 for 2 people then an extra £8 for third person was shocking. The stuff that was put out could have been bought 2-3 times over. The only bonus was the veiw of the golf course. But a big let down sat in a small room with a bar in it. Perfect for a drink after a game of golf. Good job the Queen wasnt going for afternoon tea. Lol

Have been before for afternoon tea with a group I belong to. Have been again because I liked it and was excellent value and will, hopefully go again! Since my first afternoon tea I have been for lunch also. Prefer afternoon teas though - and who can blame me?!?!?!?!?

Went for afternoon tea with a friend & we both thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a selection of sandwiches tuna, egg mayo, cheese savoury & ham. A mini sausage roll each. A fruit scone with jam & cream, chocolate cake, caramel shortcake, and I think a banoffee cheesecake like dessert. Was all really lovely. We didn't eat it all & asked for a doggy bag & the waitress happily boxed the cakes up for us. I got a big pot of tea & my friend got a big pot of coffee. The waitress was lovely & came & asked us if everything was ok & did we need or want anything else. The views were stunning. Would definitely reccomend this place for afternoon tea.
