Had a fantastic spa day at Daresbury Park Hotel. My friend and myself both had facials and thought they were the best we had ever had. The food in the bar/cafe was excellent and great value for money. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this hotel to other - "5 Star!"

The service was poor. We arrived and we told to sit and wait in the bar. We weren't acknowledged for 10 minutes and when we were served we had out afternoon tea in the bar area not restaurant. The food was poor- sandwiches stale and tasteless and poorly put together , the scone and 2 slices of cakes seemed shop bought. It was meant to be festive afternoon tea and there was nothing festive about it. It was standard and really poor afternoon tea. Really disappointed and won't be coming back again.

The staff were friendly and went the extra mile and included our children in a Santa visit, however to give an honest appraisal there wasn't much aptmosphere and the afternoon tea was disappointing though acceptable.

We were not expected. Even though I booked beforehand. It was cold where we sat. The sandwiches were pre packed from a glass cabinet in cling film. We regularly have afternoon teas, through Groupon as well as just going ourselves. This was the worst. Won't be returning

Afternoon tea should be served properly in a 4star hotel in a restaurant atmosphere with tablecloths and waiter service.Queuing at a coffee bar in a soulless reception area with loud music playing and people wandering around was not our idea of a treat or a " quintessentially English experience"which was promised.Food sparse and poor.
