From Our Editors

The story of Jamie's Italian began when Jamie Oliver, supported by his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, opened the first restaurant in Oxford in 2008. The kitchen's experienced chefs are committed to bringing a piece of Italy to customers all over the UK, with a menu combining traditional recipes and quality ingredients with innovative ideas and Jamie's signature twist. Guests can savour an array of dishes, including freshly made pasta, as well as steaks, pizzas and salads that can be complemented with a fine selection of wine and cocktails.

Food was nice but very small portions. Main course was the size of a starter portion. Puddings were nice but we all came away still hungry

The service was great but the food was only ok because of the limited menu you are given when you are on a groupon. That makes you feel a bit like a second class citizen!

Together with membership to Jamie's Gold Club it meant that a night out cost us very little as we got an extra tenner off the bill in September. We had drinks and coffee too. All very lovely, tasty and plenty of it. Would definitely recommend.

The food was good but it would have been better if pizzas were in the choice. The saving using Groupon was minimal.

Nothing to say this was different to any other Italian restaurant except it was overpriced. Do not try the expensive "home made lemonade" - sugared water with a slice of lemon and mint !!

The offer from Groupon wasn't really good value, there was a 2 course daytime menu direct from Jamie's for £11.95 with almost the same choice. Didn't feel like we had got a good offer, infact felt almost like we had been misled. Service and quality of food was good though, but didn't really get the bargain especially after realising an additional 12.5% of total bill was added for service charge
