The Grade II-listed High Beeches Gardens boast 27 acres of colourful flora, largely collected by notable plant hunters like Ernest Wilson. Harking back to the early 20th century, the gardens feature rare trees and shrubs planted to enhance the natural landscape. The blue woodland gentians are in flower throughout August. Budding horticulturalists can spend a day strolling across bridges and down wooded paths, or relax at the tea room and enjoy a lunch meal or afternoon tea.
