Based on the site of Wildern School, Wildern Leisure Centre is just a short walk from Hedge End Village, only five minutes from the M27. Visitors can enjoy a gym equipped with cardio and resistance machines together with free weights and support from the fitness team. Swimming lessons are available at a four-lane 25-metre pool and children can splash in the shallow learner pool. A multi-use hall is popular for use for a range of activities, including badminton, cricket and archery, as well as classic sports like basketball and football. All facilities can be booked for private events.
Friendly staff. Good classes
Good, clean facilities. Friendly staff.
Pool could do with a clean though as on our last visit I grazed my foot on something (4 separate marks, quite painful too!) in the learner pool.
But apart from that, it’s fab. Good value for money.
Very quick and easy to deal with.
Helpful, encouraging staff that really seem to enjoy what they do. Plenty of quality gym equipment. i particularly like the fitness classes, which are fun, varietied, challenging and friendly.
Free and easy to book in to each activity and great fitness staff and staff in general friendly and helpful and great deals on groupon for membership to make classes cheaper and more accessible to us on lower incomes; pensions etc.
Several of the lockers didn’t seem to work and there are no hangers in the shower cubicles for towels/toiletries. Also got a face full of hair whilst I was swimming... pool could do with a bit of a clean!!
I have been using the gym and pool. Also I do two classes Aqua and Pilates, which I enjoy alot.
The one to one sessions with Shelley are excellent and worth paying the extra.
