Heard many positive reviews Inc the one from a reporter who was with the evening star so I got this offer. Well I'm very disappointed, the chicken I had had a funny smell that comes from cheap suppliers, the nut roast my partner had was too dry to eat even with gravy and the Brussel sprouts were only good for weapons as they were rock hard, the roast potatoes were the only good thing on the plate. The plum crumble my partner had wasn't crumble, it was flapjack with plums which weren't half cooked! I've hardly put bad reviews and feel like I'm the only one to put one for this place so I guess the main chef was off that day or he had a really bad off day, we told the staff before leaving what we have said on this review so hopefully they don't let it happen again!

The pub itself looks dreadful and unpleasant. It is very dirty and shabby inside. However the service was good and pleasant.
