From Our Editors

The Craiglands Hotel sits within six acres of landscaped grounds and woodland on the outskirts of the spa town of Ilkley, one of West Yorkshire’s best-loved destinations. The town centre is quaint and cosy, with a host of shops, restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes. It is also perfectly placed for visitors who want to explore the Moors which lie just beyond the town, inky and vast in its landscape, and awaiting walkers, photographers and cyclists to appreciate its beauty. Within the hotel, each guest bedroom features en suite facilities, tea tray, hairdryer and complimentary Wi-Fi. Mornings kick off with a hearty breakfast in the dining room, setting guests up for their day of exploring. More formal dining comes courtesy of the hotel brasserie, in which guests can enjoy fresh and seasonal meals with the open fire burning in the background on cosy winter evenings. For extra indulgence, the hotel has its own beauty salon, in which clients can be treated to a variety of beauty services such as massages, facials and manicures.

Very imposing looking hotel at the bottom of a road that has an area of natural beauty. Also very close to the town centre which is beautiful. Full of restaurants, bar and interesting shops. So hotel is in a very good position. We drove to Leeds centre the first night and it took approx 40 minutes. Hotel room was average. A bit small and we overlooked gas canisters and a scruffy dumping area. The room was clean and towels lovely and white and soft. Bathroom was a little basic, could be modernised a bit, but again, very clean. Room to put all the toiletries I always seem to have in abundance. Food was full English breakfast buffet style and a limited but acceptable menu in the evening. Nothing grand but pleasant enough. My pate was cut from a tasteless block, so not wonderful, but my salmon was actually not over cooked which I sometimes find in hotels.comfirtable lounge area with a bar and a fair selection of wines. Yes I would go back
