For the past 30 years, the team at Toby Carvery have been on a mission to bring British roast dinners nationwide. All meat is sourced from UK grass-fed or free-range farms that meet Red Tractor standards. Every day, each Toby Carvery restaurant lays on a family-sized feast. Tender, slow-cooked meats, eight lots of freshly-prepared veggies, including crispy, ruffled roasties, and freshly-made Yorkshires served crisp, fluffy and piping-hot. Vegetarian and vegan options are on the menu for those who leave meat off their plates, and a wide range of drinks can be paired with the dishes for a boosted indulgence. A kids menu and all-you-can-eat breakfasts are also available.
Generally good but not on this occasion. Weren't told that the dessert we ordered was not included in the offer until we got the bill and had to pay for it. Did not up to usual standard either.
Great food and friendly service
Service was excellent with Charlotte at the Parson and Clark, Sutton Coldfield, who couldn't do enough for us.
However, all of our party felt that since the refurbishment, the quantity of meat given with the carvery meal had definitely been reduced, the food wasn't hot enough and even the gravy which is usually piping hot, was only warm. All of this was disappointing, especially as the food was tasty.
We all had the same dessert which was the new honeycomb dream sundae, which sounded delicious. However, the honeycomb pieces nearly broke our teeth as they were so hard!! After 10 minutes of soaking in the icecream they never softened at all!! We expected it to be like the centre of a crunchie chocolate barNone of us will ever choose this dessert again, I'm afraid.
