From Our Editors

First opened in Soho in 1926, Patisserie Valerie follows artisan baking traditions brought to London by Belgian-born Madam Valerie whose mission was to introduce continental patisserie to the English. Now boasting over 120 multiple venues nationwide, the company adorns its cafes with a 1950s-inspired decor and serves up an array of freshly-made cakes, craft patisseries, breakfasts, lunches, coffees and loose leaf teas. Their specialties include meticulously crafted croissants and viennoiseries, as well as homemade Italian-style gelato ice cream.

Bakery quality not up to standard for such a cafe which supposed to be specialized in bakery and sweets. I think I can buy better scones in supermarkets. Sorry just not good enough

Service at the Norwich branch was excellent. We were shown the menu and informed that we could, if there were any things we didn't like we could swap them for something else on the menu, but we didn't need to do this. I had a pot of peppermint tea whilst my husband had a cafetiere. The food was lovely, but there was too much for us and they packed the remaining cakes for us to take away. Will definitely go back to Patisserie Valerie.
