From Our Editors

Located a short stroll away from the Amberley train station, Amberley Museum preserves the memory of the region's industrial past. In the former chalk quarry, the visitors can explore a number of exhibitions featuring period vehicles or vintage household appliances, among others. Live presentations and courses allow the curious to learn about various crafts such as pottery or blacksmithing. A narrow gauge railway runs throughout the site, serving as an attraction and a means of transportation.

We had a great day with my boys aged 5 to 10. Loads to see and do including a train ride and learning how all sorts of everyday items were invented and evolved. So much to see we need to come back and see the rest!!

It was a great day out especially as there were so many volunteers working that day. Worth checking the schedule for when they are there.
