Very hard to get through to book and was some confusion about our booking when we arrived. But the waitress went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed our lunch.

Like I said earlier on another Groupon I didn't buy, why not try and find the hacker of my Groupon account and ask them! Pretty poor job when you're asking me to review something you know I didn't buy!

Contact by phone was very poor. I tried several times to check my booking. At one point I even had the phone put down on me as the operator wanted to answer the next caller. She wasn't interested in my query! Screening of black & white movies were not included as advertised on groupon. We were told it was only Xmas week they were doing that. The bread on the sandwiches was awful. It was cheap white bread quality, no brown bread offered. Fillings were almost unrecognisable. My sister is vegetarian and we struggled to recognise what was in them. The scone was huge, after you ate that you didn't particularly want any of the smaller cakes anyway, of which there were few. I had to ask for the milk and spoons for the tea. Staff were just buzzing around looking disorganised. All in all a disaster. I would not book afternoon tea with this company again.

We had not booked but were advised we could have afternoon tea in the bar area instead, which we agreed to do. After one sandwich each, (with bread that had clearly been left standing, as was dry), 2 small cakes each and one we had to share, 2 scones, jam an cream, and a glass of prosecco each, we asked for the Bill. Not expecting it to be £50! No one had provided a menu and as the queen of afternoon teas, never thought it would be that much. I asked to see the manager, I explained the bread was dry and that I had never paid that much before. His reply "Well I don't know where you have had afternoon tea before!" "this is what we charge" . He made us feel like scum. No apology nothing! Thank goodness for group on. I said I had this and I asked if I could use it and he said yes as he was walking away. Awful customer service.
