Inspired by the Lower East Side venues, The Chancery Liverpool combines a bar, eatery, wine shop and delicatessen all in one place. Located in a historic Grade II listed building in the heart of Liverpool, The Chancery offers daytime bistro and a la carte cuisine sourced from the local area. Guests can get a taste of Britain with traditional Liverpool scouse, corned beef hash, Cornish charter pie, toad in the hole, vegan cottage pie and fish and chips. The venue also offers an extensive list of wines and ciders to upgrade each meal. Additionally, The Chancery caters for special occasions and parties in their private dining room.

I bought this as a gift for my sisters birthday. We both realy enjoyed the food and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We both said we would go again.

Nice staff really helpful ..food good. May be a bit more variety for the savoury part of the afternoon tea. Not as many sandwiches and other small savoury foods.

Great afternoon tea. Friendly service. Worth the few extra steps from Liverpool 1. Just across the road from John Lewis.

Service was good, waitress was attentive.. venue- we where seated in the upstairs mezzanine.. or should I say unfinished mezzanine.. bar plastered walls no skirting boards, am not sure if that's the look they are going for, it just all seemed unfinished. Afternoon tea was ok, we where seated at 1.55pm and out by 2.30pm..could have done without crusts off my sandwiches, we had 9 x 1/4 S between 2 of us and a nice bite size selection of cakes.. Scones could be improved..

When we arrived they said only had one booking when I had booked 2 vouchers . This was quickly resolved but we were taken to a table set for 4 which confusing as they had said were only expecting 2 people. Staff lovely but unfortunately they did not have table prepared . One of the China cups on table was cracked. The fillings on the sandwiches was unusual. We had to ask for cream &jam for scones, milk, sugar. There were four of us out celebrating 2 of our parties 60 th birthdays so was very disappointing and embarrassing as was my present to them .
