The museum was established with the overall aim of preserving and interpreting the historic heritage of Biggar and the Upper Ward of Clydesdale while being a focal point of the local community. Biggar Upper Clydesdale Museum is designed to be an educational and enjoyable experience for all ages, with a collection and archive focused on the historic heritage of the area. In addition to the museum galleries, the building encompasses stores, retail outlet and a separate area for temporary exhibitions.

Plenty of parking space just outside venue. No café but again plenty of choice nearby in Biggar. Museum is very well structured and hands on exhibits are have good information and facts in a fun way. staff are professional and friendly. I would certainly recommend .

A very well set out and interesting museum. The children especially liked the old style shops and goods therein. The historical displays through the ages were also well done and informative.

I thought it was very interesting and our grandkids loved it as well, dressing up etc. It was good to see actual shops in the museum with all the memorabilia.
