From Our Editors

Cwm Deri Vineyard's 25 acres of Pembrokeshire National Park stretch down to the East Cleddau tidal estuary. First planted in 1991, the wine estate is now home to around 3,000 vines, and welcomes visitors to its pastures to sample the produce and meet the chickens, guinea pigs and other small animals at Pets Corner. Guests can also try some local produce at the restaurant, whether a cream tea or full meal, and long-term visitors can be accommodated at the on-site Caravan Club.

When booking, was asked if we wanted lunch as well, we said yes as thought we would be there anyway and so wouldn't make a difference to them if we used the table longer. Got there 2 hours early, and informed them we didn't fancy lunch as we're given a huge complimentary breakfast where we were staying which we weren't expecting. Man was very annoyed, said we should have phones ahead to tell them, I said we'll we're here 2 hours early (10.30/booking was for 12.20) how much sooner did he want me to phone, offered to come back a different day for the tasting, he ignored me and continued to read his booking list. I Said we'd have coffee and go for a walk and come back at the correct time. We're told no the conservatory is for lunch only and we should have called ahead, whilst being served our coffee they also brought the wine and cheese. At 11am, I'm not really a morning drinker and mum doesn't drink at all usually but didn't want to anger them further. Measurements were fine but you only get one shot glass of each.. was with my mum so it didn't matter but if with a friend I would have preferred 2 half filled shot glasses. Service was rude, we really wouldn't go there again. For gods sake don't agree to lunch and change your mind, it makes them very angry. My mum suffers from anxiety and depression and she was very upset at their argumentative tone, she will probably take a day or two to get over it.
